Humans have pride in what they have done yet they need help sometimes

Whenever grasp deceives goals,
hope and trust leave us.
How much we wish to seek help.
Our power eroded; a rope is
what we seek to hold on to.
Yet anything to hold is out of sight.
Our pride is bruised, and reality
flows out of our wounds, it makes us
see the light of our not being omnipotent.
